Welcome to Cupid Kitten Rescue!
Cupid Kitten Rescue is specifically for kittens, mom cats with kittens, and pregnant cats. The cat overpopulation problem had reached levels so high that it is now affecting kittens. The county shelters are taking in over 6000 cats and kittens per year and over 60% are euthanized. This rescue is designed to relieve county shelters from overpopulation and unneccessary forced euthanasia.
Cupid Kitten Rescue has many opportunities.
Fostering: Fostering is the primary means of providing safe, loving homes for kittens until they grow and are waiting to be adopted.
Adoptions: There are many kittens for adoption all year. Look in adoptable kittens for the ones available. Note: This can change daily, but is undated on a regular basis. Please call if you don’t see your desired kitten(s).
Donations: Donations are what keeps Cupid Kitten Rescue running. If you'd like to make a donation, you can mail one to PO Box 2741, Portland, OR 97208 or you can donate by clicking the link below. Donations can be made through paypal or with a credit card. Donations are a great way to give especially if you love kittens, but just can’t have any in your house or have allergies. Also, donations of food, litter, and cat supplies are always welcome. Please call if you'd like to donate any of those items.
Volunteering: There are many opportunities to volunteer, including transportation, marketing, playing with the kittens, event coordinating, grant-writing, and fundraising. If you are a veterinary technician or have a lot of experience with kittens, we are always looking for help with medical care.
Hotline: If you have questions about your new kitten or kittens you’ve rescued, please call 503-888-0333. Please no calls before 9:00 am or 10:00 pm pacific time. In the case of an emergency, contact Dove Lewis Animal Hospital. The focus here is to have you be successful with your new kitten, to help you with your own rescues, and to ensure the safety and welfare of all kittens.
